Paid Campaign Launch Guide

Your step-by-step guide to launching and tracking your first ad campaign.

Step 1
Set Up Your Ad on Your Chosen Platform

This step happens on the ad platform itself (e.g., TikTok Ads Manager or Facebook Ads Manager).

  1. Log In: Go to TikTok Ads Manager or Facebook Ads Manager.
  2. Create a New Campaign: Look for a "Create" or "New Campaign" button.
    • Choose "Website Conversions" or "Traffic" as your objective.
  3. Go to the Campaign Launch Page: Open the Campaign Launch Page in another tab. This has all the info you need.
  4. Copy and Paste: Fill out your ad campaign by copying the details from the templates on the Campaign Launch page:
    • Ad Copy: Paste the provided Headline and Description.
    • Targeting: Enter the Age Range and Interests.
    • Budget: Set the recommended Daily Budget (e.g., $20).
  5. Upload Visuals: Upload the ad images you created on the Marketing page.
  6. Set the Destination URL: When asked for the "Website URL," paste the link to your Landing Page.
  7. Review and Publish!
Step 2
Replace Pixel IDs in the Landing Page Code

What's a Pixel?

A pixel is a tracking code from Facebook or TikTok. It tells you if people who clicked your ad actually visit your landing page or sign up. This is how you know if your ad is working!

  1. Get Your Pixel ID:
    • On your ad platform, find the "Events Manager" (Facebook) or "Assets → Events" (TikTok).
    • Create a new Pixel if you don't have one.
    • The platform will give you a unique Pixel ID (a long string of numbers). Copy this ID.
  2. Go to the Landing Page Code: Navigate to the Landing Page file in the editor.
  3. Find the Placeholder Text: Scroll through the code until you see these lines:
    fbq('init', 'YOUR_FACEBOOK_PIXEL_ID');
    ttq.load('YOUR_TIKTOK_PIXEL_ID');
  4. Replace and Save: Replace the placeholder text ('YOUR_..._ID') with the actual ID you copied from the ad platform. I will automatically save your changes.

That's it! Your landing page is now connected to your ad campaigns.

Step 3
Monitor Performance and Optimize

After your ad runs for a day or two, check its performance in the ad manager dashboard. Here’s what to look for:

Clicks

Are people interested enough to click on your ad?

Conversions (Leads)

Are people signing up after clicking? The pixel tracks this. This is your most important metric!

Cost Per Click (CPC)

How much are you paying for each click? Aim for the target listed on the Campaign Launch page.

What Does "Optimize" Mean?

It just means making small changes to get better results. For example:

  • If one visual gets way more clicks, use it more often.
  • If an ad's CPC is too high, pause it and try a different headline or visual.
  • If your conversion rate is low, you might need to adjust your ad's audience targeting.

Advertising is all about testing and learning. Don't be afraid to experiment!
